The people behind the coffee

Marie Mukeshimana is one of our beneficiary coffee farmers in Rwanda. Widowed and looking after 5 children, ensuring a stable and secure income is critical. The Selecta Coffee Fund has supported Marie and her family through Heifer scheme. She does a fantastic job of running her farm, learning new practices and increasing her yield. Not only did the cow mean they had milk to drink and fertiliser for the crops, but also provided a source of income that has enabled her children to go to school and for her
to plant additional trees.
